Our mission
RiseUp Missouri seeks to increase civic engagement and awareness in rural Missouri by educating citizens on current issues, advocating for responsible leadership at the state and local level, and unifying Missourians around common causes.
Our vision is our why.
A government truly of the people, by the people, and for the people is nothing to fear.
But complacency and disengagement allows corruption and incompetence in government to flourish. A successful democracy relies on vigilance and good faith to ensure that our leaders are good stewards of our democracy.
RiseUp seeks to engage and inspire the next generation of leaders in Missouri -- a new class of servants who reject political extremism and truly aspire to unify Missouri under common sense, practical policies that serve all the people, not just a few.
Some of our core engagement issues include:
Robust public education
Free and fair elections
Preservation of democracy
The peaceful transfer of power
Strong checks and balances
Restoration of faith in civil institutions
